Here at Sweet Bites Cakes, we are avid users and lovers of our social media channels, as it’s an amazing way to connect with our customers and followers. Not only do we share our favourite cakes and orders, we aim to share snippets of the day to day moments at the Henderson store. With these moments come lots of your questions, so we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do a Q&A to answer some of our most frequently asked questions on Instagram!

What is your key to getting really sharp edges on cakes?

At Sweet Bites Cakes, all of our cakes are covered with either ganache or buttercream, in two coats. Using a great scraper and keeping it completely vertical as you work around with a turntable will help achieve crisp edges!

Would you ever consider running classes?

Absolutely! We have run multiple classes in the past. If you’re interested in learning any particular skill from the Sweet Bites Cakes team, contact us via phone or email and we can help to make this happen.

Would you put your cupcakes on Uber Eats and allow for delivery any time of the night?

Cupcakes are equally as delicious any hour of the day, but we have to sleep! You can order our cupcakes online or via Uber Eats from 9.30 – 4pm.

What us your most popular cake flavour?

When it comes to cake, everyone loves our original chocolate mud cake! White chocolate lemon mud cake and chocolate raspberry mud cake are also very popular choices. See our full menu here.

What frosting do you use on your cupcakes?

All of our cupcakes have the same icing as a base; our fluffy buttercream! Then each is customised to it’s own flavour combination.

Where can you deliver?

We can arrange courier collection of online orders any time during our opening hours, and your order will be delivered within a 3 hour time slot within Auckland.
